Keeping Busy this Mud Season?

If you are familiar with Summit County, you already know that fall has passed us by and winter is knocking at the door! While temperatures dip and snow starts to fall, staying in and cuddling up to a fire is tempting. But if you stay in, you might miss out! Mud season is a great time to check out that restaurant you have always been wanting to try, or hit up that happy hour that you have heard has amazing.

Most of the local restaurants have screaming specials that make hibernation a challenge despite chilly conditions. There are ample 2-for-1 entree and appetizer deals, happy hour specials, new menu items, and local bands to see at several different eateries county wide. Mud season is a time of year when business slows down; the summer activities are no longer, yet there is not enough snow to go full force with winter activities. Business owners take advantage of this time to entice locals by cutting them a break. That way, word of mouth referrals increase once the town is flooded with tourists who would like to visit a local hot spot.
